Now UC Legislature District Six Mike Madsen - a possible Mayoral Candidate?
Update May 2010: I lost some photos on this blog so I've had to revise some things. My new blog is at http://www.flingingtowardsthesun.blogspot.com
Thanks!

From back in the day...

Two things:
1. My husband and I attended a fundraiser for 9th Ward Alderman Mike Madsen last night - and we found it to be a classy event with good company, good food and high hopes! Mike is a City Alderman plus - in our opinion - as he reaches out to - and serves the people in the City of Kingston in a number of ways - both Ward specific and (via his blog, his constant pursuit of knowledge, etc) in a larger sense of the word. Our thanks go out to Mike (politics, professionalism, integrity, warmth and kindness can all come together in one package) and to all of those that helped put on this inspiring event!

2. This blog has gone through some changes (apparently due to a mix up)- so I'd like to refer folks to the new blog (still under construction) I created for other news, views and updates...
This blog is now booked as http://www.spreadingourwings4.blogspot.com [The "4" is new]
My new blog (see link in sidebar) is at http://www.flingingtowardsthesun.blogspot.comI apologize for any confusion this has caused. In this case the changes were NOT intentional, so I'll have to lay the blame (lol) on a "ghost in the machine."

N.S.,
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to meet you and Bob at Madsen's fundraiser last night. Hope you enjoyed the food there at Little Italy.

Thank you cco. It was good to meet you, as well! Thank you for "sorta" introducing me to UCDW a while back too - and for giving Mike (and me :) some positive input about this blog. N.S.
ReplyDeleteLong ago in days of old
ReplyDeleteThere lived a knight who
Wasn't quite as bold
As a knight should be
He rode an old grey mare called Bess
Searchin' for a damsel in distress
Just to see if he
Could set her free
See the knight in rusty armour ride
To her aid
Trusty sword is hanging at his side
With a rusty blade
Up the tower steps he sneaked
But as he moved
His rusty armor squeaked
Such a mournful note
And all the sentries at their posts
Thought it must have been the castle ghost
They jumped for their lives
In the moat
So the knight in rusty armor won
His fair maid
Had no need to draw his trusty sword
With a rusty blade
As he bent to kiss his bride
He found that he was
Rusted up inside
In his battle dress
And I can't guess
How they still got married
And had twins
They came in tins
Every suit of armor ever made
Has a kink
Chain mail pants with a missing link
